1. CAN Ekblad, Aaron (D) - 6'4 - 216 - Just the second player to be granted exceptional status in the OHL. Ekblad is a true "two-way" defenseman. He makes great passes, uses his size to his advantage, plays the body, quarterbacks the power play, can take over the game in any of the three zones and has great hockey sense.
2. CAN Reinhart, Sam (C/RW) - 6'1 - 185 - Reinhart is a nice blend of poise, maturity and a high hockey IQ. He's got creative hands, excellent vision and superb instinct in the offensive end. He's able to slow things down and dissect the play. He battles hard and is a true team leader.
3. CAN Bennett, Samuel (LW/RW) - 6'0 - 178 - Bennett is an energetic, skilled winger who is quick on his feet and has deceptive speed. He generates chances with his quickness, awareness and constant effort. He's not flashy, but energetic and does possess an excellent release.
4. CAN Dal Colle, Michael (LW,C) - 6'2 - 171 - Dal Colle is a bull who uses his natural talents well. He's got an imposing frame and already shows great balance and strength on his skates. He plays a two-way game, battles hard and displays quick hands for his size.
5. GER Draisaitl, Leon (LW,C) - 6'1 - 208 - Draisaitl is a playmaking center who isn't overly physical but uses his size effectively to shield himself and the puck. He has excellent vision and knows where his options are. He has soft hands and a steady stride, but his smarts are his most important asset.
6. CAN Ritchie, Nick (LW,RW) - 6'2 - 218 - Ritchie is a prototypical power forward with an impressive blend of size, skill and strength. He skates well for a big player and has agile feet. He bulls his way around the ice and has an impressive, erratic shot.
7. CAN Fleury, Haydn (D) - 6'3 - 207 - Fleury is a big, physical blueliner who shows good offensive ability. He's strong and balanced on his skates, keep his head up and understands developing plays. He rubs opposing forwards out and isn't shy to make a solid hit.
8. USA Virtanen, Jake (RW/C) - 6'0 - 213 - Virtanen is a heads-up player who thinks the game well and is willing to get his nose dirty. He has slick hands, a dynamic shot and a strong stride that makes him dangerous. He can be outright dominant at times offensively with his blend of size, skill and speed.
9. USA Perlini, Brendan (LW/RW) - 6'2 - 205 - Perlini is a lethal combination of speed, puck skills, and hockey sense which allow him to make dynamic plays in all three zones. He plays a high puck possession game and thrives when the puck in on his stick.
10. FIN Kapanen, Kasperi (RW/LW) - 5'11 - 181 - Kapanen is a small and slippery with very creative hands and impressive 1-on-1 arsenal. He has a decent shot with good release but needs added velocity. He has quick feet and impressive lateral agility and is a dangerous goal scorer who can make skilled passes and offensive zone reads.
11. SWE Nylander, William (LW/C) - 5'11 - 169 - Nylander is an extremely skilled, dynamic player who has quick hands and feet that make him dangerous offensively. He has great top-end speed, a strong burst and elite vision. He can distribute the puck like few other his age. An intelligent player, he out-thinks opponents regularly. n the other hand, his defensive game needs some work. Not a selfish player, but at times he tends to hang onto the puck for too long, instead of making the easier play.
12. CAN McCann, Jared (C/LW) - 6'0 - 179 - McCann is a hard-working, two-way forward who displays strong agility and mobility. He's effective at both ends of the ice and has the ability to produce strong numbers due to his hands, patience, shot and sense. (August 2013)
13. DEN Ehlers, Nikolaj (LW/RW) - 6'0 - 163 - Ehlers is an explosive player who can beat even the quickest defensemen wide with his speed. He plays on his off wing and creates chances with sharp cuts to the middle comple- mented by an explosive wrister. He's equally good with the puck and can handle it both at top speed and in traffic.
14. SWE Kempe, Adrian (LW/RW) - 6'2 - 187 - Kempe is a strong, bullish forward that has size, strength and a work ethic to match. He can be tenacious on the forecheck and never misses finishing a check. He has a heavy shot and isn't shy to drive towards the net.
15. RUS Barbashev, Ivan (LW/RW) - 6'0 - 185 - Barbashev is a skilled playmaking winger with impressive vision and passing ability. He thrives in a high-paced offense. Has a good, hard shot and isn't transparent about making a pass or firing it on net. Has dynamic talent but inconsistent in his efforts.
16. USA Milano, Sonny (LW/C) - 5'11 - 183 - Milano is a skilled winger with good hands who likes to carry the puck and have it on his stick. He has a quick first step as well as good straight line speed and able to use his edges well to elude and evade. He uses finesse puck skills and change of direction to beat defenders.
17. CZE Pastrnak, David (RW/LW) - 6'0 - 176 - Pasternak is a flashy, electrifying offensive talent with gifted hands and shiftiness in his feet. He also has a bullet shot and is a very dangerous finisher. He uses quickness and good lateral elusiveness to avoid bigger opponents.
18. USA Demko, Thatcher (G) - 6'3 - 192 - emko is a butterfly-style stopper with the ideal pro size. He makes himself big in net even when he drops down to his knees and has outstanding lower coverage in the butterfly with leg coverage going almost post-to-post. He moves well laterally and out to challenge shooters fluidly.
19. USA Tuch, Alex (RW/C) - 6'4 - 218 - Tuch is a big power winger who skates well with strong balance. He typically is called upon to be the meat and potatoes guy on a skilled line and does so very effectively. Impressive forchecker. Uses his frame to protect the puck and physically supporting his linemates.
20. CAN McKeown, Roland (D) - 6'1 - 194 - McKeown is a strong, do-it-all defensemen whose biggest asset is his ability to think the game and know his position. He makes strong, simple plays, has a good shot and distributes the puck effectively.
21. CAN Ho-Sang, Josh (C/RW) - 5'11 - 166 - Ho-Sang is a small but skilled forward with some incredible hands. He's shown impressive skating ability and agility with the puck on his stick. He's a crafty player that has the excitement factor in his favor. He can rely too heavily on himself at times, but has great offensive instincts and pounces on chances.
22. FIN Honka, Julius (D) - 5'11 - 178 - Honka is a small offensive-minded blueliner who skates very well with strong lateral movements and agility. He's extremely elusive and hard to contain or catch. He possesses good recovery speed and quick on the transition from defense to offense.
23. USA Larkin, Dylan (C/LW) - 6'1 - 190 - Larkin has shown he can be an elite-level power forward in addition to showing a high level of offensive ability. His ability to take the puck hard to the net allows for unique scoring chances most players would not be able get because of a lack of size and strength.
24. SWE Karlsson, Anton (RW/LW) - 6'2 - 194 - Karlsson, brother of Erik (Sens), is a strong forward that is tough to handle at full speed. He has a good compete level, solid checking ability and the smarts to play both ends effectively. He's a strong playmaker given his vision, timing and soft hands but can finish, too.
25. CAN Fabbri, Robbie (C/LW) - 5'10 - 166 - Fabbri is a below average sized buzz saw who works hard and has some of the best feet in the entire draft. He uses his speed and mobility to be shifty and elusive but is also willing to play physical. His hands are skilled, he shows some creativity on the ice and has a quick shot release
26. CAN Cornel, Eric (C/RW) - 6'2 - 186 - Cornel is a big rangy centre who skates well with strong balance, a powerful stride and good overall mobility. He is not afraid to use his size to push his way into scoring areas as well as protect the puck. The two-way playmaking centre has strong hands and a rocket shot.
27. USA Schmaltz, Nick (C/RW) - 6'0 - 172 - Schmaltz possesses good vision, shows good quickness and a strong ability to read the play in the offensive end. While he can also play in his own zone, Schmaltz's quick hands and ability to move in tight make him an attractive package.
28. USA Bleackley, Conner (C/RW) - 6'1 - 194 - Bleackley is a nice blend of size, skill and speed. He's strong and balanced on his skates, uses his size to his advantage and has a very good shot with his quick release. He finds lanes and soft zones well and has quick hands in tight spaces.
29. CZE Vrana, Jakub (RW/LW) - 6'0 - 187 - Vrana is a strong skater with a good first step and lateral quickness. He handles the puck with confident and creative hands. A good wrist shot with a deceptive release help him offensively, as does his natural vision and passing ability.
30. RUS Goldobin, Nikolay (RW/LW) - 6'0 - 185 - Goldobin is a dangerous shooter with a wicked release on his wrist shot. He is quick and creative and can make defenders look foolish. He's weak against bigger opponents and can look lost in his own zone but is extremely dangerous and can quietly slide into prime scoring areas.
31. USA DeAngelo, Anthony (D) - 5'11 - 175 - DeAngelo is a smooth skating, offense-generating defenseman who has some very quick feet. He's slippery and very creative with the puck. His offensive awareness is incredible but is easily out-muscled in his own end and needs to work on his positioning.
32. SUI Fiala, Kevin (LW/RW) - 5'11 - 194 - Kevin Fiala is an offensive forward with game-breaking potential. He is a respectable and shifty skater with quick legs and explosive acceleration. Fiala owns a slick skill-set with soft hands, good stickhandling and brilliant puck-control. Not known for his defensive play, Fiala is not very big or strong yet, but his quickness and agility lets him avoid getting hit or held back along the boards.
33. USA MacInnis, Ryan (C/LW) - 6'4 - 185 - MacInnis has a tall, lanky build but has some good potential to add strength. His speed currently lacks burst but his skating does have some upside. He's an instinctual player who uses solid positioning to remain in the offensive play and has a heavy shot but needs to work on his release and accuracy.
34. RUS Scherbak, Nikita (LW) - 6'2 - 174 - Scherbak is a skilled but gritty forward who has a strong shot and offensive senses plus the ability to evade would be checkers by using his quick agility and slick hands. He puts pressure on opposing defenses every game. Has some work to do with regards to rounding out his defensive game and effort levels.
35. CAN Martin, Brycen (D) - 6'2 - 185 - Martin is a smooth skating offensive minded blueliner who has good hands and likes to carry the puck himself. He shows good overall mobility, sees the ice well and makes good passes and plays well under pressure.
36. USA Dougherty, Jack (D) - 6'2 - 185 - Dougherty is an intelligent defenseman who tries to blend strong positioning while trying to inflict a physical dimension on his opponent. He isn't the fleetest of foot, but does get where he needs to go. He also makes a strong first pass and has solid offensive instincts.
37. FIN Kahkonen, Kaapo (G) - 6'1 - 192 - Kahkonen is an active puck stopper who plays the game with confidence especially when seeing a heavy workload. He utilizes the butterfly but rarely swims around his crease unlike others. He goes down and pops right back up quickly and moves side-to-side well
38. CAN Middleton, Jacob (D) - 6'2 - 207 - Middledon is a big-bodied, two-way defender that has strong mobility and a willingness to jump into the play. He makes heady passes and shows good vision and on-ice smarts. He isn't afraid to add a physical tone to the game, either.
39. USA Glover, Jack (D) - 6'3 - 172 - Glover is an impressive two-way defenseman who has good overall mobility. He's always aware in all three zones and defends with a physical edge, using his frame to separate pucks and size to clear the crease. He moves the puck well and has a good outlet pass.
40. USA Donato, Ryan (C) - 6'0 - 176 - Donato, son of former NHLer Ted, is an intelligent player who sees the ice well and has plenty of offensive skill. Possesses slick hands, solid vision and creative moves with the puck but has some issues with his mobility. Thinks the game at a high level.
41. CAN Watson, Spencer (RW/LW) - 6'0 - 170 - Watson is a pure goal scorer who has very good one-on-one skills and can make outstanding plays with the puck. He skates well and has a crisp, accurate shot that jump soft his stick. His acceleration and lateral cuts make him hard to keep track of on the ice.
42. CAN Peters, Alex (D) - 6'3 - 207 - Peters is a defensive minded blue liner who makes smart decisions at both ends and possesses the ability to move the puck with a sharp outlet pass. He is a physical defenseman who finishes his checks, has an active stick and reads the defensive game well.
43. CAN Lemieux, Brendan (LW/RW) - 6'1 - 209 - Perfectly fits the cliche has a player you hate to play against but love to have on your team. Like his father Claude, Brendan will drive the opposing team crazy as he is the perfect agitator. Lemieux also has the ability to burn you offensively as he is a top 5 scorer on Barrie. He showed the ability to both agitate and score in the CHL top prospects game.
44. USA Jacobs, Joshua (D) - 6'2 - 194 - Jacobs is a smooth skating two-way defenseman. He can grab the puck and skate it up ice or dish a strong stretch pass to a streaking forward. Closes off lanes and is willing to play physical in his zone. Has some mental lapses and many times his game has been hot or cold this season.
45. LAT Bukarts, Rihards (LW/RW) - 5'9" - 190 - Bukarts is a quick and nimble skater who looks to generate offense every shift. Blessed with crafty hands he is a threat to make a seeing eye pass to a teammate or deke out a defender one-on-one before getting of a quick wrister. He has some work to do in his own zone and in showing a willingness to play in the tough areas on the ice.
46. USA De Leo, Chase (C/LW) - 5'10 - 174 - De Leo is a quick, darting skater that plays a creative offensive game. He possesses very quick hands and strong puck skills that allow him to easily gain the offensive zone. He counts on his instincts and positioning in both zones to help him have a positive effect in the game. Size and limited strength are a concern.
47. SWE Lindblom, Oskar (LW/RW) - 6'2 - 187 - Lindblom is a powerful skater with a strong, two-way game. He isn't shy to do the dirty work and is a pain to move out from in front of the net. He gets himself open to create offensive chances but isn't overly flashy.
48. CAN Robinson, Brandon (LW/RW) - 6'3 - 200 - Robinson is a big bull of a kid with a great shot and improves skating who when at his best is a strong power winger that wins board battles, hits hard and leaves destruction in his wake. Problem is he does not always play that way.
49. SWE Johansson, Jonas (G) - 6'4 - 198 - Johansson play in men swedish league SHL at 18 years old.
50. CAN Mistele, Matthew (LW/RW) - 6'2 - 190 - Mistele is an opportunistic forward with excellent positioning in all zones. He doesn't play with high energy but lets the game come to him. He has decent offensive skills and a solid shot but isn't overly flashy. He can play chippy but could be more physical.
51. CAN Quenneville, John (C/LW) - 6'1 - 185 - Always a big scorer, the 6-foot-0, 194-pound Quenneville also has the potential to develop into a strong two-way forward in the eyes of Wheat Kings head coach Dwayne Gylywoychuk.
52. QBC Vanier, Alexis (D) - 6'5 - 225 - Though he has skating issues, the rest of Vanier's package is very entertaining. The hulking defenseman isn't shy to throw the body and picks his spots well. With his frame, he also has a booming shot that is highly effective on the power play.
53. USA Nedeljkovic, Alex (G) - 6'0 - 184 - Nedelijkovic might not have the prototypical size NHL teams look for but the rest of the game is making them notice. He has a strong, fluid leg push utilizes a tight compact butterfly, the ability to read the play and proactively get into solid position making him hard to beat.
54. CAN Baillie, Tyson (C/RW) - 5'10 - 190 - Baillie plays a strong all-round game. He has good balance and speed and quick hands that allow him to handle the puck well in one-on-one situations. He sees the ice well, makes skilled passes and creates chances.
